I’ve grown a half inch in the last 7 months. Those who know me may chuckle at this, since I’m already one of the tallest women they know. And now I’m taller??
I’ve always said that I’m 6’2″. That was my official height when I played volleyball. I was the tallest in the university league every year (I was NOT the tallest at the national tryout camp–I was average! And, the shortest in my position… that was weird). Six foot two was how tall I told my husband I was at some point early in our relationship when he asked.
So, in October, when we put a wooden ruler up on the wall to measure the kiddos, we measured each other too. And officially, I was a paltry 6’1″. Not quite the same ring to it.
It’s seven months later, and I’ve been feeling taller lately, straighter. I’ve been doing lots of neck work, working on my hyperkyphosis too. So I asked my husband to re-measure me, just for funsies.
6’1.5″.
This makes me excited for two reasons:
- I’m a math teacher, and 0.5 rounds up. 6’1.5″ rounds to 6’2″!! I no longer live a lie!
- I actually increased my measured height by half an inch in SEVEN MONTHS. AND, I’m not done my neck/upper back work. I’m still unfurling.
The sky’s the limit.
